About Us

LogicalDollar is a personal finance brand that was founded in 2020. With millions of readers each year, our team has continued to stick to a pretty straightforward goal:

We want to make sure you’re financially empowered and in control of your money to put you on the path to financial freedom.

After all, why spend the rest of your life chasing your tail financially when you could be actually living your life how you want!

Because financial freedom isn’t hard. In fact, it’s simply logical.

It’s true: managing your money doesn’t have to be complicated. As all of us in the LogicalDollar team can attest though, it does take some work depending on where you currently are in your financial journey.

But that bit of work now can save you a mountain of stress in future.

How do you know this can actually work for you?

Sure, you may have made some financial missteps in the past. Haven’t we all?

Maybe you’re deep in debt at the moment.

Or maybe you’re living paycheck to paycheck and want to lighten the load a bit.

Or perhaps things aren’t actually going too badly, but you want to make some extra cash on the side to start adding to your 401(k). Better yet, maybe you’re looking to replace your main source of income and even retire early.

Wherever you are on your financial journey, we’re here to take your money mindset to the next level.

After all, we love talking about personal finance here on LogicalDollar – and whether your goal is starting a side hustle, launching your online business, freelancing, saving more, finally sticking to that budget or just managing your money a bit better, we’ve got it all covered with simple, straightforward expert advice.

That means no boring theories full of jargon or overly complicated steps that no one with actual life responsibilities has time to do.

Just clear, factual explanations to help you take control of your money and put you in the right direction on your journey to financial freedom.

Meet Anna

Hi there!

I’m Anna Barker, founder of LogicalDollar – and a complete money nerd.

After graduating with a law degree and working for more than 10 years in the financial and legal industries, I still found myself with around $60,000 in debt. It was like a light bulb going on the day I realized that this was not how life should be.

There seemed to be a general acceptance from my peers that struggling with money and staying in the rat race for 40+ years was just how life was – but something kept telling me that there had to be another way.

So I jumped headfirst into the financial deep end. Sure, I’d worked in finance in my professional life – which definitely helped. But I craved something more. Something actionable that would turn my financial life around.

And so began doing all the research I could to educate myself on the best money management strategies out there, through reading countless books and articles and doing whatever I could to learn from the best experts in this field.

Of course, learning is one thing. Doing is another. And I was ready to do.

Fast forward a few years and after some serious hard work, I hit my early 30s with no debt and a six-figure investment portfolio.

There’s no magic trick to all this. Implementing smarter money habits, investing regularly and creating additional income streams are things that basically anyone can do.

But, relatedly, there was another result from climbing my own personal money mountain: it became pretty clear that a lot of the information out there was either hard to find, impossible to follow or simply not good.

Which is why I founded LogicalDollar.

After all, I firmly believe that everyone has the ability to secure their financial future with simple, actionable steps – when they have the right information.

So by creating LogicalDollar, my aim is to be your go-to place for all your personal finance questions.

(Many of which are likely the same questions that I had while turning my finances around and revamping my own money mindset!)

And in doing so, I want to get as many people as possible on the path to financial freedom.

It doesn’t even involve telling you to give up your lattes and avocado toast!

(Please, I’m not a total monster.)
